Passport to Asia

Hong Kong // March 24, 2016

Last month, we had the opportunity to participate in a special project in partnership with the guys from Passion Passport and Cathay Pacific along with a pool of local creative talents. It's always great to take on projects where you have complete creative control and where the product turns out exactly how you envision it. Read all about it here.

Seek First

Hong Kong // December 11, 2015

Hello, Seek First calendar! You are so pretty!

I'm deeply honored that I was part of this project. Thank you to Island ECC's creative team for letting me be a part of this project. Such a cool concept, especially for us in Hong Kong. It's a good visual reminder that in all that we do, everywhere we go, every person we encounter, we should SEEK FIRST his kingdom and ATTRACT (like the neon lights of Hong Kong) others to do the same . This is SO HONG KONG!

I've posted some of the photos that are in the calendar and some of my personal favs. If you're interested in purchasing one you can head to Quench at Island ECC. Enjoy!

Son Oh Family

Repulse Bay, Hong Kong // October 22, 2015

Hong Kong is known for its efficiency, great food, amazing skyline and ... the MTR, all packed into a dense city that grows taller rather than wider. Being such an amazing city, it attracts amazing people. Problem is, when people come, they also go. And so it is with much pleasure and with equal sadness that a share these photos with you, because Hong Kong has lost some quality people. Truly. Hope to see you soon Son-Ohs!

Chelat Wang Family

Sai Kung, Hong Kong // October 22, 2015

Summer has been a busy time and I finally have some time to update the blaug on what's been going on. I had a wonderful time with the Chelat Wang family on the beach in Sai Kung. Aiden, their boy, is such a handsome fella and I'm sure he'll grow up to be a lady killer. Watch out girls!

Chiu Family

Mid-Levels, Hong Kong // October 22, 2015

I had the privilege of photographing this lovely family with the two most energetic and hilarious kids. Kate, 9 and John, 4 made this family portrait session full of laughter and joy. I'm also very pleased to have met BB, the panda, Dolphiny, the dolphin and NO, the Chihuahua dog-purse. Let's do it again sometime!

joseph x emily

Tamar Park and Lamma Island, Hong Kong // 3 July, 2015

I was honoured to photograph one of the cutest and most genuine couples I've ever met. You can really sense their love for each other from the way they serve one another. Joseph insisted on carrying everything for everyone which led to him having a sweaty shirt and if you look really closely at some of the photos, you may be able to see the (sweat) marks of his generosity. Lamma Island is where they celebrate their anniversaries so it was only natural for us to photograph there and it was a treat to visit the east side of Lamma as I've only been to the more touristy west side. I've posted here a few images from the portrait session so if you'd like to see more you can follow the link bellow.

Beautiful Collision

Adare Manor, Ireland // 11 August, 2015

Most people assume I married my wife for her unbelievable gift in calligraphy, or her ability to lay out mass amounts of information in a visually engaging way, or for the way she annoys me in the most loving way, or vice versa. But they’re all wrong. I married her for her looks. What can I say, I’m a sucker for things that are beautiful on the surface. You can’t fault me - I’m a photographer! So when we were invited to Adare Manor, Ireland - a land almost as beautiful as my wife, I had to put the two amazing subjects together. This post is the result of when two beautiful things collide.

An Adare Affair (Hogwarts Edition)

Adare Manor, Ireland // 9 August, 2015

It's been a while since I went to a wedding as a participant. It was oddly liberating. I had to keep reminding myself, there wasn't somewhere I had to be or have to have a certain vantage point  - in the strictest sense. I could sit, absorb the moment and hold my wife’s hand. Does this mean I didn’t photograph? Nope. I took this opportunity to make some family snaps and materialize some memories. Congrats to Matt and Erica and thanks for inviting a muggle like myself to Hogwarts.
